A beautiful optical quartz clarity and complex structure! The tapering root is due to contact points where previously other crystals once grew. These contact points have an intriguing pattern of crystalline growth lines. On one of the crystal faces there is a six-sided impression that is also the result of another crystal contact on the surface of the quartz which left a geometric mark. This is beautifully regrown with tiny crystallits and patterns on the surfaces. There are also dozens of tiny Anatase minerals and record keepers decorating some of the crystal faces.
